steve mk a nice layered salad

s bradley mmmm just look at them beans! in a crockpot

mikell a desert , some hummus(is that made out of squished up humming birds?) and perhaps salsa , ( i might even pitch in a jar of my home made salsa)

pam garlow some yummy pasta salad

R.G.Rugg fruit salad

keven green beans with something in them that i forgot to write down

and golin bringing a big pot to cook potatoes , and corn in.

anyone want to toss some corn or sausage or something in that pot?

ok i don't think we will go hungry, we have a good start i believe.
so from here on out add what you can or would like to share with everyone. and feel free to surprise us too.

i get up pretty early in the morning so if anyone wants to stop by i will have coffee perking and maybe even something to gnosh on.

I doubt if i will be allowed to bring corn across the border but if you can tell me now that there will be some for sale in the area, I will buy a yaffle [or two?] after I cross the line and bring 'em down.
Your growing season is different so I don't know what will be available.
Please let me know..
Scouter Dave

p.s. You forgot the toutons on that list.

Liquid corn? I assume you're talking about corn cooking oil. What else could it possibly be?

I'm not sure this is the appropriate forum for the correct answer.

do to an unfortunate incident at the caseville international airport and rod and gun club, involving a simian airlines float plane that mistook the skeet field for a landing strip.... there will be several jars of monkey butter available at the camp out

um,,,,i could tell you,,,but then i'd,,, oh wait,,, that won't work,,,,

ok i have been torn,,,yes torn i tell you,,,as to whether or not to disclose the true nature of" monkey butter" but with the advent of this infernal comptuer net work,,,i'm sure someone will do a search so i might as well come clean.

monkey butter is a yummy concoction of banana, pineapple, and coconut, along with other tropical fruits that is mushed and cooked and canned for use as a spred on toast, p and j sammiches and the like. think of it as a very tropical applebutter.

Do you have to get the monkey to peel the bananas? And then you mash the whole thing with your feet?

Well do you at least let monky butter ferment a bit so it has an alcohol content going for it?

awsome jim and autumn !!!!

no the monkey butter isn't fermented,,,,though there may have been other fermentation products that were involved in the formulation of said monkey butter.

heres an idea.

way to late to do much with this for our event,,,but maybe next year?

would be cool if we could have a egg camper rodeo.

we could have judged events such as hooking up the trailer and getting under way. would be judged on speed, safety, and maybe even style.

one on parking on site and setting up your camp site, again speed safety and style.

maybe a backing up weave course,

we could have saftey inspections, trailer weighing, maint. tips and classes, perhaps put on by a trailer dealership or manufacture.

of course there would be site and trailer decorating contests.

not sure what all we could do, but i see it as a way for old timers to refresh knowledge, new commers to learn, everyone to have fun, a dealer or manufacture may want to be there to learn what our concerns are and how to improve their product and service.
maybe the dnr could do a presentation on state parks, or state police on towing safety. theres no limit to what we could do.
what do you think? should we discuss this more ? or is this one of weird johnnies pipe dreams?

I'd just rather tell others how to do that stuff. That way I wouldn't embarrass myself. As for that infamous macaroni salad, infamous has a negative connotation. I'd rather have FAMOUS macaroni salad. Maybe you could re-educate your wife?

I remember a neat part of our first rally was having some veterans campers talk about greasing bearings and checking brakes. Doesn't sound exciting but it was a good session with us all sitting in a big circle in lawn chairs. Maybe there could be some sharing time on topics to be determined.
