Wife has stated no interest in goat, me I would try a bite on the basis if it can't get away from my fork, it's dead and that means food but turkey or chicken are what I voted for. I know I'll make a dinner out of those. So one vote, two people.

ed we would love to meet you up here , hmmmif michiganders that go south in winter are snow birds,,,, would floridians that go north in summer be?? sand fleas?

best thing would be to do an online reservation , or phone reservation.
if there isn't a site right on top of us just go for one fairly close,,, its not that big of a park so its not going to be a problem anyway.
think the website and 1-800 number are on the map i posted. if not go to michigan department of natural resources website, and look for the camping info. that will help you find the closest available site,,,assuming you want to be close to us,,,,lol.have any trouble get back to me and i'll sort something out.

Send a message via Yahoo to Kevin A
According to the reservation map tonight, sites 79, 80, 82, and 84 are open with electric service. These sites are right up next to the reserved sites. Good luck!

Probably be better to be overwhelmed than underwhelmed. Without this even happening yet I'd vote to continue the gathering, preferably at a different spot each time. Went to our first one in May in Indiana and really enjoyed it. Next month we're going to the Camp Hale rally in Colorado (if Colorado hasn't all burned up).

You need not worry. It will be a success. We went to our first rally in May in Indiana and it was the 8th year for it. Nothing specific planned except the fish fry/pot luck. Apparently the fish fryer must spend the rest of the year catching and freezing the fish just for this. All the rest of the rally was spent socializing.

Crazy Canuks can come, of course! And welcome! I believe that there are also a few Canadians interested from the FB Boler webpage. I've spread the word over there..... Algonac is approx 60 miles north of Detroit, across from Walpole island and Port Lambton, Ont. Its pretty much halfway between Detroit/Windsor and Port Huron/Sarnia. You may be able to catch a ferry over the river to it . It will be at Algonac State Park. There's a link in this thread somewhere with the number to call.

There is a ferry connecting Sombra, ON with Marine City, MI. Algonac State Park is 4 or 5 miles south of the ferry on M-29. It's fun to ride the boat and you avoid the hassle of driving through Detroit.
