Upcoming Pacific Northwest trip

Will be heading up to the Seattle area in late June; from there, am considering working our way southward along the coast on 101. Somewhere about Reedsport, Or we plan to turn eastward for our return to Colorado. Would appreciate ideas, input and info regarding places to stay along the way, from those who are familiar with the area. Not overly fond of private campgrounds.

Bill, there is a wonderful campground called Bullard's Beach State Park just north of Bandon. This is where we are having our Oregon Gathering this year. They have a nice site on the web.

You can either come across to I-5 from Bandon or Coos Bay to Winston or you can come across at Reedsport to Oakland. Both are very scenic routes. You will LOVE your trip up the coast.

The Oregon coast is one of my favorites. Make sure you try and reserve spots as it can be extremely busy.
