Virtual Rallies

As rallies are understandably cancelled this spring due to COVID-19, has anyone with a little tech creativity considered hosting a "virtual rally"?

If you can camp in your driveway and set up a firepit in your backyard, consider hosting a virtual rally! This can be accomplished with several conferencing software apps such as Microsoft Teams or Zoom.

The rally schedule of events would be the "meeting" times to call in, and a few participants can share the responsibility of leading each event from their home/camping location.

With ample creativity and a dash of tech saavy, this could be a great new way of having a fiberglass gathering without leaving your driveway!

Great idea. A friend and I are going to do it once I get my space cleaned up so that I have a view from the trailer. But it would be fun as a Virtual Rally with more people!

I’ll make a virtual apple pie for the virtual potluck and virtually share it with everyone.
Enjoy

You can only see it if you have a Mac or an iPad.

Were doing a virtual Easter with 4 generations. It's potluck. We'll see how that turns out.

I'm gonna look at some pictures to admire the beautiful scenery here at the rally. Before we virtually leave to go home, I'll virtually dump the tanks. Later, when we actually do go somewhere, it will be weird to be all cooped up in the trailer, instead of being at this rally and enjoying the living room.

Hi Bobbie,
How's the clean up coming along? I'd be happy to host an event in your rally schedule, and don't worry about people joining in, they will!
I'll help spread the word and how to sign in to the platform you choose for a conference call. There's also Cisco Webex and a bunch of others. (Just pick one free to use for guests).
We can coordinate this further by email/phone. Please email me @gmail.com. Username is rvcompass.

Haven't started yet- other projects first!

I did attend a virtual Seder this past week, though. Six people, four homes. The host did deliver real matzoh ball soup ahead of time. We used Facetime but Zoom works, too, and works on all platforms.
