What we liked about this park (besides the great company last year at the rally) is that the "new" section has paved flat spots for your rig with amenities and tall trees surround..we've been back 3 times after the last egg rally and it's quite a distance to drive for us, that's how much we like it!!!

here's the new!

Greetings everyone,

Our Spring plans have changed, so we hope to join you all! We booked 207 for Thu - Mon. Looking forward to seeing everyone (and this park - it looks beautiful). Is this lake good for paddling or is there too much motorized traffic?

Happy Trails,

Dave&Kathie

Hi,

I've never been to this park. Which is a good site to book and do these sites have electric hook-ups?
I would be interested in coming down if i can get the time off work. Thanks, Marina

Here is the info from the first post in this thread:

For those not familiar with the area, it is off Hwy 12, east of the town of Morton, south of Mt. Rainier, and at the eastern end of Riffe Lake, (which is a large Tacoma Power Co. reservoir.)

Everyone who attended last year liked it there, and this year they will also have a lot more room since they just recently opened up a whole new section of campsites. All brand new facilities, bathrooms, showers, full hook-ups, etc. Many of us "walked" through the area when we were there last year to check it out...really first class!

Just a "bump" to bring this thread back up into the light again...we're about 5 months out now...time to start looking forward to summertime! Many spaces still left, but they'll start going fast because this is a very popular place. Don't wait too long to book your site! (June 4th through June 7th).

Ah Greg, you sure know how to rub it in! We can't make it this year, seems like it's a bi-annual event for us. Couldn't make the first one, made it to the second and now we'll miss the third get-together. Guess we'll see you in 2011!!

Talking

Laura & Rick, you mean we won't get to see your brand new Escape? Darn!

Dave & Kathie, welcome aboard!

One can also come down Hwy 7 from Tacoma. It is picturesque although I even had to shift into 2nd at times because of the tight curves and steep hills.

Roger, the Escape is one super fine trailer! A lot more room than our Casita, elbow and headroom wise, plus more storage. We, actually my son, had Tammy and Reace (owners of the company) add some custom upgrades, which is a trademark of the company. We went with the 19 footer as it met our needs better. The Escape 17B is similar to the 17'Casita, but has a better layout and more elbow room. We just can't say enough about now good the Escape is!

Hi Rick,
I hadn't heard that you got rid of the Casita. Sorry you can't make it to Taidnapum this year. But, maybe we can do lunch again one of these days and "catch up".
Greg

Hard to believe that this will be our third annual WA get together already!

Hi Barb,

I'd like to update it, but I don't have access to the list in post #16 on this thread. That was posted by Roger C H.

Only he, or perhaps Donna, can update the list.

On the upside, you'll finally get to meet my better half, who will be joining me on this year's trip. (For those of you who thought I was always just making her up...she really does exist! LOL). It'll be fun to be able to have her with me on a campout for a change. (I'm retired, but she still has to work for a living, poor girl!)

Hi Donna,
Could you add me to your list? I'm in site 224.

Greg, tell me about missing the get-together and not being able to meet Brenda. When we attended the Oregon Gathering last July, Chuck (aka, Deb & Chuck) pointed out the Escape to me. I liked it right from the start. Laura also liked it. When we retuned home, we ran some numbers and maybe made a few “excuses” and made a trip to Chilliwack for a second look. As they say, the rest is history. All I can say is beware of what you may see at these fiberglass get-togethers/gratherings/rallies!!

Give me a call or drop a PM and we’ll do lunch.

Rick

Hi All you fiberglass trailer owners!

I pick up my brand new custom made (thanks Tammy and Reace) 2010 15' Escape Friday. I am so excited I can hardly contain myself.
I will miss the Spring NOG because of a conference at work, and I thought Bullards Beach would be the first time I would have a chance to show off the new trailer. But then I read about this gathering and decided to join you. I am in space 277.
See you all there!
Cathy
