1958 Westfalia

I'm not related to this seller in anyway. I just think some here would like to see it,

We looked at one of these prior to buying our Boler...I was in love, but it was a wreck. The metal body was beyond repair & wood completely rotten. It was too bad, it had sat for 10 years to degrade. These are such cool trailers! It's sad they aren't fibreglass because, unfortunately, if the metal is in bad repair I think it would take a talented metal worker to restore. This one looks to be in much better shape though!

When I first posted, I thought it was fiberglass. I looked at his link to photobucket and saw it is metal.
Please forgive me FGRV!

Cool little trailer, but $13,000 ... I'd rather have a new all molded trailer.

I agree Donna.
It is a collectible though, and they always bring what the market will bear.
This one has been for sale before and not sold so I guess the market is getting "tight".

Thanks cpaharley!

Wow!! Didn't look at the price! The one we looked at was $2000...we offered $1000 if no one took it and he eventually called us, but we had already bought our Boler!

If you look at the photos in the other link, it's not as perfect as you'd assume at first blush. The belly band area in once spot has a pretty good dent, etc.

I think some of the photos in the other link are before. This one is updated with new appliances.

It is way over-priced. I would rather have a newer one. But it does have that "antique-coolness" about it!

These trailers are so unique. Good luck trying to find a new axleI. IIRC these Westys had a single leaf spring pack that was horizontal and a weird configuration. Mind you that can all be changed but would require some hours of research and planning. I wish we had taken some pics of the one we looked at it was very neat but beyond repair....a sad life for the trailer.
