1970 Trails West Camper for sale, new tires, top, propane tank lines and regulator all replaced, cabinettes refinished, interior just painted, and carpeted. I had been planning on towwing with my 1968 chevelle to car shows and decided not to put a hitch on my muscle car, so I have lost interest. have refinished most everything with the exception of upholstering seat cushions. 2300.00 (760)367-3742

Craig,
I hope you find a good home for your trailer. I have a question, if you know the answer. Is the Trails West camper made by the same company the 1971-1973 Compact Jr. models built by Hunter Structures, Chatsworth, California?

I dont believe so, my title has the manufacturer listed as trails west with the model listed as campster. I had enough of the original logo still visible to take a digital photo and play with it on my computer, this is the result.
was going to have a decal shop make a vinyl sticker for the trailer, anyone that has a trails west feel free to use this.

Cliff, had a yellow compact jr before this one was realy unique because of the yellow color, I was lucky and the fiberflass was in great shape and only needed a good buffing to shine like new. couldnt stop for gas without everyone wanting a look.

Thanks for the reply. Because of the shape, size, and door location the two trailers looks very similar. Having had the Compact Jr. previously... out of curiosity... does the Campster have a thicker fiberglass shell structure? The Compacts seem to be very thin walled.

Hi Craig,
Don't know what this trailer looked like when you got it, but it looks great now. You did a super job. I'd take it if I was down there in 29 Palms, but I'm way up in Bellingham,WA! (Used to live inland San Diego area) Really like what you did. How did you get the spackled finish on the cabinets - Paint?
Thanks,
Fran

I want to get some decals- anyone else? We can probably get a good deal if we order more than two. I have been meaning to do this and haven't so I'm delighted that you have! Do you have a high resolution copy of that?
