1985 Scamp Motorhome in Denver, CO

Just saw this and thought it worth reposting here due to its rarity and interest for Scamp lovers. It was only made a couple of years on Ford Ranger and Dodge Dakota chassis.

Pretty cool, Jon. That camper has a lot going on. I wonder what it weighs? I wonder what it has for an engine. I had an '89 Ranger with the biggest engine offered at the time (2.9L V6) and it always seemed terrible under powered even just cruising unloaded. Wonder what these campers must have driven like. I'm always amazed at how much camper they could put on a compact pickup back in the day. Some of those little Datsuns and Toyotas from the late '70's-early '80's look terribly over loaded to me. You still see them on the road now and then.

Interesting. They're selling because the previous owner stripped the emission control equipment (catalytic converter, etc) and it won't pass emissions testing. I suppose it was removed to produce more power. Seems a relatively easy fix if the rest of it is sound.
