MN | 1988 13' Scamp For Sale

1988 13' Scamp Travel Trailer. This Scamp sleeps 4 - the front dinette folds down to sleep 2 and the couch up front converts to bunks to sleep 2 more. The carpet is original and in great condition. There is a dorm sized fridge that runs on electricity, a two burner propane stove, and a single bowl sink. There is no bathroom. The camper has air conditioning but no furnace. We have used a small electric heater and that has been perfect for chilly nights. The exterior of the camper is in great condition and has no damage or cracks to the fiberglass. All snap caps and rivets were replaced in 2010. The tires are newer (brand new spare) and the wheels are brand new. This little gem is in overall excellent conidition and is super clean. We have truly loved camping in this scamp with our two little boys. We are only selling because we just upgraded to a 2003 fifth wheel scamp. Looks like a classc Scamp! Amazing how timeless they are.

I hope this isn't a breach of forum protocol, being in the for sale section. If so, I will delete the message (or a mod will beat me to it!). I'm no longer shopping, but I'm dying to know more about the air conditioner, looks like it's installed in the closet area?? I want to add ac there to my 2001. I called Scamp and they said they only sold roof top units that were not suitable for a 2001 13'. Private message might be more appropriate unless discussion of this feature furthers the sale.

I wish I could be more help...I believe the AC in this camp was installed by the factory. From the inside it looks like a window unit and it is installed right below the little closet. My guess is that you have a little bigger closet. The unit vents out the side and the condensation drains below the camper. Sorry I don't know more about it.

We have rec'd a deposit on our Scamp. If we don't have full payment within 2 weeks, we are going to relist. I will post either way at that time. Camper is located in SE Rochester, MN.

Thanks for the AC info, I didn't know they put in AC in the side at the factory. I'd love to see inside there with the unit removed.

Our 13' scamp is sold. I'm trying to remove it from the classifieds but haven't had any luck doing that. Thanks for your interest.
