We have also replaced the fresh water supply pump and door gaskets.

This Scamp is in excellent condition and ready to go camping.

Hi Nita .... thanks for sending an e-mail to alert me to your Scamp : it has some great features & looks well cared for!

I have a few questions:
1. can you explain a bit why you chose a porta potty vs a black water tank & how do you deal with that?
2. our truck is 54 and 1/4inches ground to side clearance. Would that work with the new raised axle?
3. does it have the winterized insulation? ie the reflective bubble wrap
4. are the appliances original? ie how old are they?
5. do you have a shield for the front window?
6. what size is the new fresh water tank?
7. how many miles on the new tires?
8. what brand is the memory foam mattress and how old is it?
9. did you travel with it or park it for summers?

Thanks again!
Linda

Hi Linda,

I have answered at the end of each question:

1. can you explain a bit why you chose a porta potty vs a black water tank & how do you deal with that? - This Scamp has never had a toilet. The original owner used a small Porta Potty. We purchased a larger version and have had no issues. A porta potty is a 2 piece unit with the upper part storing fresh water to rinse when using a pump flusher. The lower portion is the waste storage tank. I disconnect the lower unit and empty it in a restroom or the sewer drain. Here is a link to the model we have:
http://www.thetford.com/HOME/PRODUCTS/Port...65/Default.aspx

2. our truck is 54 and 1/4inches ground to side clearance. Would that work with the new raised axle? - Yes and our Tundra is the same height.

3. does it have the winterized insulation? ie the reflective bubble wrap. The Scamp has the Reflectix insulation as you describe on the interior. Underneath has no insulation.

4. are the appliances original? ie how old are they? - To my knowledge all appliances are original - 1997, and all work.

5. do you have a shield for the front window? Yes, we do have a rock guard. I had removed it for the pictures.

6. what size is the new fresh water tank? - 12 gallons

7. how many miles on the new tires? - Purchased in December 2009 and have less than 2,000 miles.

8. what brand is the memory foam mattress and how old is it? - Mattress was purchased from Walmart and is 3 years old.

9. did you travel with it or park it for summers? - Yes we have camped in the summer. Last July 4th we camped in 104 degree days in Texas. The air conditioner worked well.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks.
Nita
