2SOLD 011 Casita 17' SD $15,750

For Sale: 2011 17’ Casita SD
Just in time for the 2015 camping season! My wife and I purchased our Casita new from the factory in September, 2011. It has been meticulously maintained and is clean and spotless on the inside and outside. You will not find a nicer, late model Casita located in the Pacific Northwest!
Factory installed options are: blue/gray cushions, awning, sway bar, bubble levels, outside shower, vinyl flooring, high lift axle w 15’’ D rated tires and 16 gal. water tank, and furnace.

Aftermarket and upgrades: Maxxair fan mate, Calmark sunbrella cover, installed custom shelving in closet, high rise faucet in kitchen, dri-dek flooring in bathroom, battery cut-off switch, 30 amp surge protector, A/C auto reset switch for heat strip, LED bulbs replacement in all but 3 fixtures, insect screens on furnace vents, HEPVO valve kit from Little House Customs still in box, never installed, new battery 9-14, replaced Atwood stab jacks with B.A.L. light trailer jacks, removed spare tire from back and carry in tow vehicle to prevent marks/rash to gel coat.

Our Casita has approximately 14,000 miles on it and everything is in like new/working condition. We are upgrading to an Escape 5.0 TA and need to sell the Casita to make room. I will provide a detailed orientation to the new owner and the trailer will be fully operational and ready for inspection. Preferred means of initial contact would be a PM. Asking price is $15,750 Location is in Tacoma, WA. Thanks for looking!

My wife & I will be traveling back to Seattle from Portland tomorrow and would like to take a look at your Casita trailer. Please let me know if / when it will be available tomorrow. Does the trailer have AC? If not, is it setup to add AC? Thanks, Bruce

Very nice trailer. Curious if it's possible/difficult to remove the AC unit. Most trailers I see for sale have AC, and I understand this is desirable for many, but we'd strongly prefer to *not* have the AC unit on the roof. Any thoughts?

That sounds like a tough job. You'd have to patch the shell where the hole is, and it's a large one. Gelcoat, feathering in the finish, and then also a patch of matching carpet on the ceiling.

Removing the roof AC unit isn't hard to do. There doesn't have to be any FG repair done, just add a 14" roof vent in its place. The trim ring on the inside will finish it off. The power line should be capped off and tucked in at the edge.

Thanks for the replies - I can start another thread on this in the future (assuming I find a Casita that has AC to be removed) but the differing perspectives are a bit concerning.

I like Dave's perspective and am going to assume that's the way to go. Sounds like a 14" square skylight would work too, no?

Ah, fill it with a vent. That'd work.

As others have said, it would be easy to remove an A/C on a FGRV. A vent or second fantastic fan would be installed. I believe the dimensions are the same.
