...ours got kinda ruined in a rain event last night, so I/we are looking too,LOL!!

I hear that Carefree of Colorado isn't making the 8ft'ers any more. Need to scope that out....

What got ruined? Can we talk salvage parts? I need some.

Carefree is making a 2.5m which is actually a 2.57 m which turns out to be 8' 5-3/16" end of bag to end of bag, not the measuremet of the main awning rail like earlier models. So it is not a "true 8 footer", but pretty darn close and only protrudes 6' 6".

A link to specs are below, there is fine print throughout the website and marketing materials.

I purchased my bag awning and new cushion covers here:
Camper Canvas Replacements Pop Up Camper Canvas

The bag awning page is here:
Camper Awning Shademaker Pop UP Camper Awnings

I'm extremely happy with both products after five years of use. Excellent pricing and delivery as well.

Roy, turns out the 'bag' is torn at the back (left) end of the awning. I mistakenly let the awning attached while stored outdoors two winters back and the 'bag' became very brittle. The rainfall we had two nights ago forced the support pole to jump out of its (hooped) support area and the support rod ended up puncturing a hole in the bag NOT the awning itself. Will check with Reace @ Escape trailers when we get home (as he supplied n installed this one) re~buying a new awning. Pitty though cause its only the bag thats ripped. We are still able to use the awning, just moved the support over a little to the right andresting it on the supplied awning rail.

Can't see the benefits of shipping ANY parts from the Wet Coast all the way to Big Smoke anyhow.....

Too bad you're in Ont. On Vancouver Island here. Have an almost brand new 8' bag awning (blue/white) you could have for $250. Pretty hard to ship! Anyone else interested out here?

Many bag awnings have a connection in the middle of the main rail that allows you to make it into 2 parts and therefore shippable by regular means. Does yours?
