Condition:
This RV is in really great condition, especially for its age.
The engine starts easily and runs very strong.
The transmission shifts smoothly
and works as it should and with super low miles!
The Headlights and all clearance
lights have been replaced with new
LED Lights as seen in photos.
The house
battery and engine
battery are both brand new from NAPA
The shower, toilet and sink in the bathroom look almost
NEW and has had very little use!
Complete set of original owners manuals are included in the sale.
Lots of basement storage in the side compartments
including storage for spare tire.
The radiator coolant bottle and wiper washer fluid bottle have just been replaced with new OEM Parts.
NEW
TIRES.
Double Bowl Sink with covers All Dash gauges work as they should
with no warning or check engine
lights.
NEW
brakes recently replaced.
Roof AC blows Ice Cold and works perfectly.
Refrigerator works as it should, as does the water heater, water pump,
microwave and other appliances.
All of the white Leather seats are in great shape with very little wear.
The carpet has been recently cleaned.
The body of the RV is in great shape with some minor scratches and scuffs and could use a buff and waxing.
The roof is all fiberglass so no roof
leaks,
All the thru-roof appliances have been recently resealed.
A new King Jack Digital TV antenna has been recently installed.
It has a B&D built in coffee maker that makes great tasting coffee!
The rear stereo works as it should.
All of the pleated night shades and roll down screens are intact, working and in good shape.
Original 6" Color TV works but is the old analog type and needs a digital convertor to watch.
Propane heater works as it should.
Interior
lights and switches all work as they should.
Interior Cabinets and counter tops are in great shape,
New smoke and CO detector just installed.
Two items are in need of repair;
The
generator, with only 44 hours on it, would not start last we tried. We are not sure why.
The dash AC is not working and needs repair (the roof AC works great).
I have listed everything I can think of and know about this Clarion.
It's not perfect, so please don't expect a brand new RV,
over all it's in excellent condition.
Why are we selling?
We searched long and hard to find this rare little gem with low mileage and white leather.
(most of them had less desirable blue or red cloth interior).
We really love it, but will be traveling to Europe and buying a trailer.
So sadly it must find a new home!
History:
Here is some more info and history on the Clarion :
In 1991 Coachman decided to build on a Top of the line RV on a
1991 Ford F250 4x4 frame, with a 351 Cleveland V-8 powerplant.
Coachman reconfigured the engine compartment to squeeze that big bad boy into a FWD powerhouse,
and added 2 feet to the coach, coming in at 23'7". They managed to pull MPG of 14 city/16 hwy.,
and can tow a full 3,000 pounds.
The entire coach body is fiberglass, to achieve lighter
weight and higher R value insulating qualities.
The frame, motor, drive train, electronics and dash are Ford!
So, mechanically it is a Ford and parts and
service is readily available!
The BEST part? The inside is a full 6'6" in height!
So, if these are so good, why don't I see a lot of them around?
Because in 1992, after building only 273 of these $70,000 plus MSRP power houses, the factory had a massive fire, and burned to the ground. Coachman, never rebuilt the plant.
They instead created a division that builds modular homes.
These are becoming more rare, and are
considered Extremely Desirable.
