For Sale 70's Vintage Mopeds

I have a collection of 70's vintage mopeds I restored. They are great for tooling around campground or town. I will be bringing a couple to rallies next season. Wife says I have to thin the herd to under 20 so I have a few I want to sell. Just wondering if anyone here would be interested in a vintage moped to complement the many vintage trailers on this site.

Hi Mike,

I wish it was in the budget. My wife wants me to keep the toys down to one

Would you mind sharing a group shot of the herd so I can day dream. It may peak some interest as well. I think it'd be a cool match.

Man I wish! I gave up two wheeled transport when I had kids, twenty years ago. Your mopeds remind me of my first bike, a 1982 Honda MB5. 50cc, 7hp, front disk brakes, five gears, 80km/hr, (50 miles/hour) on flat ground and no wind. It could fit two people, if you shared the foot pegs. With two, it still did 80km/hr. I loved that bike.

The attached picture looks exactly like mine. There was a small cargo container at the front of the gas tank. You can see the seam in the picture. When you took off the cover, it was a perfect cup holder for a medium Slurpee.

David,

I would love to have an MB5 as well. I have an express and a PA50. Not as cool as the MB5 though. Nice bike.

I just now saw this for some reason. Reminds me of when I owned 34 of them at one time and had to park the van in the driveway. Sold most of them to make room for a VW Bug. Still have a few special ones and always keep my eye out for Allstates. My latest hankering is a Yamaha YSR 50.

Around 1963 thru 1965, I rode about a zillion miles on one of these. There were 5 of us guys that each had one. On Saturday mornings we would all meet at one of our houses a organize a ride for the day. If we could get some girls to ride along also, even better. I'm sure everyone can imagine letting one of our 13 (or so) year old daughters or granddaughters mount up behind some 14 (or so) year old idiot with no driver's license and no helmet and sending them out for a fun day of riding the open roads. The truth be told, their mother’s probably didn’t know it. Luckily the Lord looked after us all and nobody ever had an accident or got hurt. Sometimes I wish life could be that carefree once again.
