Rough seems to be an understatement. Not interested in another trailer but since I'm local I might stop by and take a look at them.

No guarantees but I plan to be there on March 17. Let me know what questions you would like answered. I know next to nothing about Scamps so be specific.

theres a 5th one listed on there now that looks to be complete. im hopeing that fingers crossed this one has a side bath. but if they go for cheap i may just add a bath. the pics are not to good. just a basic look over... frame rust and how bad. overall condition really. you can tell they have been heavily used but sometimes the price is right if not no biggie. its a long drive for me also has anyone noticed that under condition, it says condemed or unservisable? does that mean it wont be covered under insurance in a wreck or that its just in poor condition?

These trailers were probably part of a "Morale, Welfare & Recreation" program and were rentals. None of them have bathrooms, or even privacy spaces (No Military Toilet Seats!) as there is a large window in that area. As rentals, they probably were "rode hard and put away wet." I doubt that there was any budget in this program for spare parts (Like windows, the most commonly missing item) and it looks to me that most of these were cannibalized to keep others in the fleet functional (A common Military practice). The "condemned" condition report means that they no longer meet the minimum standards of their last inspection, (Safety being high on the list) and repair costs equal or exceed 1/2 of replacement costs. Consider that licensing these would be similar to licensing a "Salvage Title" car.
I'm sure UHauls were built heavier and sturdier as a result of studies of the Military's MW&R rental program. These were purchased on a lowest bid contract...

The ones we looked at did have side baths but no showers. They were not in as bad as shape as these but were too far gone for us to want to deal with for the price they went for which was about 1500.00 to 2600.00.
I would never buy one with out seeing it in person.

If you look at the pictures for the auction ending next week you will see some other trailers in the background in similar condition, which look much more complete. I have no idea when they will be auctioned though.

If you look in the background of one of the other pictures you'll see more of the same. I have no idea when or if they'll be auctioned though.
