IN | Got to go - mid 70's Apeco Small World

I have for sale an Apeco Small World. I purchased it to fix it up, but it is beyond my skill set. The interior was stripped when I bought it, cleaned it up, started on the floor and that is as far as I got. All of the windows and screens are there and in good working order. They do need to be resealed. The man door and screen are also in good working order. The rear door has been removed because the hinge was damaged. I do have a title, though I never titled it in my name. I did tons of research and was never able to find much if any information on the origins of the camper. I believe it was new in the mid 70s and the Apeco company did not stay in the RV business long. It is located in NW Indiana. I would like someone to make an offer, I will not be able to store it for much longer. If I cannot sell it soon, I fear it will end up scrapped. ;(

That's a sweet looking trailer! You should put a little more info such as length, width height and inside height. Also mention the condition of the frame and if it has electric brakes or not. Just saying.... because those are the questions that will be asked.

It is 19'.
The height from the ground to the highest point is 7'3"
It is 7'1" wide.
The tire size is F78-15ST.
It has leaf springs.
And unfortunately, i have not been able to get under it to check the brakes or frame. If it does have brakes, they do not work right now because the wiring has to be redone.

You mentioned replacing the floor; is it rotted? If so, do you have any idea where the water was coming from?

The floor is fiberglass. When I got it, it was completely stripped. I assume there was some sort of subfloor over top of the fiberglass. when I talked about working on the floor, I was referring my attempt at covering the hole that was left when the grey water tank was removed. as far as I know the only place water comes in is a few small leaks in the window seals.

When I mentioned electric brakes, I only meant people would want to know if the axel is set up for electric brakes.

Is the back end just completely open?

The door is visible on the curb side, near the back. I suspect that is the door he means.

Jim, I think he's open to offers. I have half a mind to make one, just not sure if the logistics would work out (time and distance).

I assume the previous owner signed off on this title releasing his/her ownership claim? How long have you "owned" this trailer without documenting your ownership? There could be unintended consequences for a buyer outside of Indiana.

Original owner signs title and gives it to purchaser, if purchaser transfers title they pay a fee and in some states sales tax on the purchase price. Could see someone not wanting to pay the money on a "project" until it was closer to done.

Possession of the title if purchaser information is not filled in should not present a problem, you just get a bill of sale and fill out the title with your information.

However if title is already filled in with purchaser as current owner then one would have to probably provide own sec. of state with notorized bill of sale from the person listed on title as purchaser. AND hope it was accepted, possibly expect a long wait for new title in own name while check on title being clear was processed.

Might also pay some extra fees for late transfer or that interstate check on title being clear.

Was a time when possession of the title was possession but it's gotten more complicated since then.
