worked on? I thought one could re-charge the coolant like in a car but I don't see where that's an option. After leveling the RV best we can we get very slow cooling and not much refrigeration on both gas and electric. Last time out no ice cubes! I believe that some older refers had fittings for recharging the ammonia but in this throw away world..........
Older units also didn't work well being out of level. Not sure when the newer models came out but if you look at the heat chimney from the outside the new style has rounded corners, not square like the old ones. There have been posts and pics of the changes. JMHO, before you change out parts or replace it, a good cleaning may be all you need. There have been a number of posts of all facets of that along with pics. Not sure how to add the links for you, hopefully someone will help out.
BTW, if you have a ammonia leak, the smell will be like a baseball bat to your nose
