Rich and Linda -- Mr.Claus --

Hey, there. Is this the one you were working on or planning to work on in 2015?
You helped us with your encouragement and friendship to get Peanut refurbished...

I hear you about your body not letting you work on yours...
Looking at the pics we're both shuddering. It's do-able, by all means, but it's a lot of work! We're not sure we'd do it again. Once was plenty.

Best luck selling it!

Kai

Hi! I'm so sorry you weren't able to do what you'd planned with your trailer!
Thanks for the kind words--it was exhausting and now we're enjoying it so much...partly due to your early encouragement that we so needed in those dark days!

FGRV and you and other amerigo owners really came through for us and that we enjoy Peanut as much as we do now is certainly partly due to all of you.

Sending our best wishes for some relief for your feet and hoping you have a quick and satisfactory sale. Always a joy to see an amerigo pop up--we love seeing them and can think of six ways to redo them that we weren't able to do in Peanut--

BEST
Kai

Rich, I hope you get feeling better......I know it's rough when the body doesn't do what the heart/mind wants to do.

These Amerigos do take a fair amount of effort to redo but when done right they should be around for several more generations.
Thanks again for the interior lights, they live on in my Amerigo!

This could look like these pictures--and even better!

Hey, hope you don't mind my 2-cents' worth here:

Don't be afraid of the work--it's so worth it!

A great deal! A discount on an already good price...

Here are some photos, people, of what it could look like redone (this is the one we bought--shown two ways--there are thousands more ways to redo this and make it your own little home away from home, your Little House in the Driveway, your Little House on the Freeway..

. Your getaway from the cares of work...

Hope someone grabs this and fixes it up and enjoys the heck out of it!

BEST
K

Having bought many projects over the years, several real estate, none a molded trailer, here's one lesson I have learned.

Start with a blank sheet of paper and add up the positives you can see, and put a value next to each positive. If you focus on just the negatives first, you won't notice the positives.

Example:

1. molded fiberglass body: appears to be all there and in pretty good condition.

2. Nice windows, love those that open from the bottom.

3. Front window rock guard

4. Refrigerator, unknown condition with outside refrigerator vent.

5. Rear cargo door.

Everything else is a project, but is this "starter kit" worth $1500 to you? If I was close, I'd give it strong consideration.

Good luck with the sale!

Hi, MrClaus and Thrifty Bill: I agree totally; having the door present and working is a huge plus; one can find little fridges a lot easier than specific doors for these 40+ trailers!

And...if WE were closer, we'd give it a look at least. But Indiana...surely there's someone nearby who wants to take a good-sized fiberglass rig and make it their own? I can think right now of all the projects we'd do differently if we were starting anew...

BEST luck with you sale! HAVE you put it on Craigslist?
