SOLD: 1978 Trillium 4500 Dartmouth NS
With regret, I'm posting our beloved 4500 for sale.
I've kept this in storage, despite having purchased a different trailer a few years ago, just to make sure I could bear to part with it. We love it, but the time has come.
I'll wrestle with pictures this evening.
Fresh Tires and Wheels, Fresh NS MVI.
$4750 neg for FG RV members. I'll offer the chance here before I head to Kijiji.
Thanks!

It would appear that at one time this was a front bathroom model. But it has been converted to a front gaucho.

I think your right.
When I first purchased the trailer, I never picked up on it. During my adventure that's been Trillium camping, and researching the history of the models, it does appear that someone retrofitted the Gaucho/Bunks at a later time.
It's not a bad setup for me, I've slept on the bunk myself, and it's been no issue. There is storage under the bottom seat on both sides, as well as the Porta.
I can take very specific pictures of that area if someone would like them.
Were there two models of Bathroom, one with curtain, and one with small jump seat as well as sink and toilet? Any other varieties of 4500 bath model?
Cheers!

I was not aware of a curtain model. Just the one that the bench folded up to provide access to the toilet beside the kitchen, and the sink beside the door.
There is another variation in the 1300 model. I call it a front quarter bath. Seat by the door and bathroom by the kitchen. I own one of these:

weight
I'll find the link to the weight chart. Not sure what Curb is quoted as. There are some real world numbers here.
I towed the vehicle with a Subaru Legacy Turbo for the first couple of years. (5 spd EJ22T power)
Since then it's been a Jeep Cherokee Sport, (XJ) with 4.0 I6. AW4 Automatic transmission.
With something like the Subaru, you needed to be concious of what you were doing. I was never going more than 90min from home, and took my time.
Jeep seems fine with it.
I've checked the weigh in results. Seems they are quoting 1800, with 170 tongue weight. I would feel that's close. 2000lbs with everything in it for a weekend and water on board might be right. There are all kinds of numbers of empty weight, but some may be optimistic.

None more optomistic then the G.V.W. on the data sheet. 4410 kg works out to 9702 lbs. Someone did their metric conversion wrong.
From the Great West Van web site, (the people who make them now):
13 feet (1300 model) & 15 feet (1500 model), weighing approx. 1,700 lbs & 2,200 lbs. (dry) respectively.

Yes, your quite right. I chuckled when I saw that years ago on the data sheet.
Even the 2000kg in a T4500, that would be a very heavy tow.
As it sits empty, I can lift the tonque by hand (two hand) and place on the ball. One of my favourite features of it.

Hi there! Just an FYI My Hubby and I have one of the new Trillium Sidekick 1500's and we actually stopped at a weigh station this past weekend. It weighed in at 2050 hitched and 2350 unhitched. So 200 lb tongue weight. We are pulling it with a Subaru Outback with the break controller. Love the size of trailer! My HUbby is looking at the Jeep Cherokee for our future vehicle purchase since he would really like to have a bit more pulling power even though we don't anticipate any bigger trailers in our future.
Good luck selling your Trilly! Someone is going to be really lucky to have it.
