1985 16’ U-Haul VT Travel Trailer that has been part of my family 4 about 20 years!
U-Haul made 100- 200 of these neat campers as part of a start-up rental business and ultimately discontinued their rental program. There are only a few of these campers still known to exist, making it a rare and sought after item.
Interior
The inside has just been professionally detailed in and out and has a new rug. It has an air conditioner, and a two-burner stovetop, icebox, 12V battery converter charger and Solar panal on Roof and privacy room/bathroom with port-o-potty and sink. There is also a furnace, which was just serviced and works GREAT. The kitchen and bathroom sinks have a self-contained water supply (I believe it’s about 15 gallons) and a manual or electric pump.
This VT sleeps up to four people; two on the larger rear dinette that makes into a full size bed, one on the front dinette, and one on the front hammock/cot. The cot has mysteriously disappeared but someone can make one with ease.I havent made one because I have no children and thats probably why its in such in amazing shape........ LOL The cushions are in good condition one does have a small tear on top as you can see in the pic I hope? There is a great deal of storage space in the closet, under the seats, and in the cabinets above.
Exterior
The exterior is in GREAT condition for its age. It’s not a new camper, so it shows wear is some spots and has a few fiberglass blemishes, Just put a new door seal in as well. It has the original U-Haul decals, propane tank and roof-mounted air conditioner. The tires have a few hundred miles on them and are in excellent condition.
Miscellaneous
-The title lists the weight at 1,850lbs.
-The electrical and plumbing work perfect.
-It has a 4- prongconnection and a 2” ball.
-Original U-Haul manual is included with the camper.
-It also has a new Kenwood KDC-MP242 CD stereo system with external auxiliary jack of cource
