MI | SOLD: 1985 Burro 17 Wide-Body $6000

We decided to sell our Burro we picked up last fall and buy an Ice castle for 4 season winter camping/fishing options.

Instead of going into all the details here I'll ask that any interested parties call or text me. We live in the U.P. (Upper Peninsula) of Michigan, near Ontonagon.

Delivery or meeting part way might be an option since we live far away from most population centers.

Spring has finally arrived in the northland (sort of) I was able to pull the Burro out, give it a cleaning and take a bunch of pictures. I'll do my best to describe what we have as well. This might take a few posts depending on how the pictures uploads works...

My Craigslist ad keeps getting flagged. I guess all those people posting "small fiberglass camper wanted" ads hate seeing small fiberglass campers for sale for more than give away price.

Can someone tell me how to post more pictures here without waiting for mod approval that doesn't seem to happen?

Assuming you are not in violation of any C/L policy, then there is some a$$ in your area that loves to flag. It happens! The only solution is to pick another C/L to post your trailer on. Lots of choices out there for you, say Northern MI, Central MI, even Detroit or Sheboygan, WI. People tend to travel for fiberglass trailers. I bought one for sale 30 miles from me that was posted in Atlanta C/L (200 miles away). It was not posted locally.

I listed it twice on northern Wisconsin, flagged within an hour. I listed in on Minneapolis click this morning, flagged within an hour. No terms of use broken. Search scamp or burro and you'll get half a dozen "small fiberglass camper wanted" ads, and hardly a real camper for sale. These wanted posters are just hoping for the little old lady who doesn't know what she has, come haul it away deals...and probably the same people flagging my posts. I guess I'll try ebay next.

So sad. The advantages of Craigslist is it is free and it is local. Its pretty much killed the newspaper classified ad business. The problems with C/L include no screening of buyers or sellers, lots of scammers, and jerks can pretty easily flag your ad. Ebay or try a few fiberglass forums, like you have done here.

If you have the original window that was removed to install that rear A/C, that would be a plus. Not everyone likes the window A/C mods.
