I just seen a 18 Foot Big Foot dual axle on Ebay for only $2,500.
They have it listed as "1986 Towable RV & Camper" I think someone could get a hell of a deal. There is 4 days & 4 hours left on the auction. It's item# 350013100333 Good Luck!

Hi Gina,
Thanks for doing that "LINKY" as you call it
I am sure you will agree the way this guy has it listed someone has a real shot at getting it for $2,500. This could fetch $4,000 to $5,000 easily!!!!!!!

It didn't say anything about 100 gallon holding tank in auction, where did you get that info from?
It's at the bottom of the listing, under the Q&A. Prospective buyers can ask the seller questions and often the seller will then post.

If this has been sitting in FL most of it's life $2500 might be a fair price. Looks like it might have a good bit of work to be done. Too bad there isn't a "buy it now."

Donna I caught that after and made a correction immediately, I thought Gina seen it in the body of the auction , which is'nt the case.

Hey Greg,
If you read my other e-mail above, the way they have it listed, "Buy-it-NOW" may not be an issue. I am not sure what photos you looked at, I thought it was in very good shape, outside of a wheel job on the body and a few coats of wax. Some Murphy's Oil Soap in a pail of warm water on the interior. BINGO! I bet you could do that, and list it differently and sell it for no less than $3,800 to $4,500 easily.

The axles seem kind of low and the frame looks rusty but I would buy it if I needed a trailer.

I don't disagree that it could be a good deal, especially the way they have it listed. I have a good bit of experience with what Florida does to vehicles and I see enough evidence that makes me think it has been down there for awhile. I'm not convinced it would be that easy a clean-up.
I'd bet if you could clean it up really good and repaint the frame, then pull it to Oregon or WA to resell it you might do really well. Keep us posted if you decide to go for it....

Does anybody have any idea how much it would cost to replace the axles (cost of the axles and installation at a shop)?
Thanks,
Manny

At the price of gas these days, they may cut into your profits significantly.

You put the bid in for $2,500? I still think becuse the way it was listed it will be looked over by many, many people. Now if they listed it as "Big Foot, Trillium, Boler, Scamp, Burro" it would be a different story for sure. Looks like you took my advice, and went for it. I live Michigan, no way for me. There is no way that this will get to $4,500!!!!!!!!! I think you may get for under $3,000!

It's sitting at the BIN price

It amazes me how some folks will risk saving a ton of money to save a penny or two up front.

I recently had an eBay auction go well over my BIN price... no complaining from me

I don't have an e-bay account. I was wondering if someone who does could ask this gentleman which holding tank is 100 gallons? I'm curious as I have never seen an 18' trailer, by any manufacturer, with a 100 gal holding tank. Black? Grey? Fresh? If one of them is 100 gallons, what size are the others? Or is it one big fresh/grey/black holding tank? If so, might I suggest boiling and straining.
