The photos and description of our Vermont Scamp have been pirated and placed in an ad on EBay. The Scamp described in this thread is still available, but is NOT for sale on EBay. I have complained, and hope that the fradulent photos will be removed.

I just reported this as SCAM to ebay, also. I think a few more of us reporting this as a scam might help eBay put a stop to it.

Thanks for your concern and help, Byron. EBay did evidently take it down soon after we reported the 'problem'.
Does anyone know if Scamps are the only trailers being picked on, or is this guy/gal fixated on fiberglass?

Hi Dianne,
I'm a new member to the fgrv site, but I've seen the very same thing with 16' Casitas and Airstream Bambi recently. I've only been searching for a month or so, and have come across several of these scams now. Looks like everyone will have to do their own monitoring of sites and be quick to inform e-bay. I see another one that is suspect #170014271781.

Can anyone confirm this?

I have noticed the scams on scamps, casitas, and airstreams. I only noticed the airstream scam because of the notice on ebay about the scams. I haven't exactly been looking at anything besides fiberglass, so haven't notice other scams. The only ones ebay mentioned were airstream and fiberglass.
Here's the bad part: Im looking for a trailer. My budget restricts me to a trailer close to home that is a "good deal" prices. That is pretty much how this guy presents his scams. Now I am getting suspicious of anything in that category. I missed out on a Perris Pacer the other night, mostly because I was afraid to bid much till I could investigate further. I just have to believe the old "what comes around goes around" and hope somehow this catches up to the guy. Like you, I want to believe in the generally honest people in the world.

I'm glad it was finally taken off. It has been there since very early and at least ten people thought they might have a trailer.
