Just a question for you. I have a 2008 17B. Where did you get the new window blinds?

Escape 17B
I got the blinds right from ETI in Chilliwack. The only one I wasn't able to replacer was the front blind because the new front ones are a different size.
They were a bit challenging to replace on my own but certainly doable.
Good luck

REDUCED -> CAN $20,500 (or about US $15,600
I will only keep this listing for a short while longer.
If it doesn't sell quickly, I will choose to simply keep it for myself.
I just have too much invested to sell it for any lower.
Thanks for looking

Hi there! I didn’t know anyone in Salmon Arm had an Escape! Looks quite nice.
I noticed in one of your pictures what looks like a Jeep Cherokee; is that what you pull your Escape with? Just curious how you make out on highways like the Coquihalla?
We have a 13’ 2016 Armadillo (the ones built in Enderby; oh, and we also live in Salmon Arm) that we pull with a 2016 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. It seems like a reasonable combination, but I can’t say I’d want to pull anything heavier.
Curious to hear of your experiences.
Alan

Hi Alan,
Yup, indeed in Salmon Arm too! I've been here for 25 years already. Time flies, eh?
How do you like your Armadillo? I've seen them in Enderby, dropped in for a visit not too long ago. Cool trailers! How much does yours weigh?
My 17B weighs about 2,200 lbs empty and about 2,600 lbs loaded. It is an easy and very comfortable tow anywhere, including the Coquihalla. I easily cruise uphill at 100 km/h. My Cherokee is rated up to 4,500 lbs. Excellent gas mileage too!
My previous vehicle was a Hyundai Santa Fe, which was rated up to 3,500 lbs. In comparison, the Cherokee is a much nicer tow but the Santa Fe managed quite well, albeit a bit slower in the climbs.
Where roughly do you live in our big and growing town?
Take care,
Michel

Hi there Michel! We live next door to where Mino’s used to be, kitty corner to the pool.
Love our Armadillo! Weighs in at 1785lbs gross. Our Cherokee is weight rated the same as yours, at 4500.
You’ve been in town a lot longer than us; we’ve only lived in town 4 years (plus 13 in Blind Bay before that).
Whereabouts are you?
We’ve only owned the Armadillo for a year now; last year we hit Nakusp Hot Springs a number of times (and learned a lot about how to handle a windy, not overly smooth road!). Found out going to last summers Abbotsford Airshow that travelling the Coq was indeed possible. This year between work, company, and weather we haven’t been out a lot, but we did Noisy Creek on July 1st and were extremely pleased with our Armadillo’s performance on muddy roads and comfort in super wet weather.
Best of all this season my wife decided to give towing a try by herself while I was at work! She discovered she had no problem hitching the trailer by herself or backing it or setting up. Other than the realization that I’m not needed for anything at all now, it was really cool to be able to go and join her in the evenings after work; sure a treat to do that rather than spend another night by myself at work.
Looking forward to starting my vacation next week!
Alan

How cool is that? When the two of you pull into a campsite, you can just grab a chair and the beer cooler while your wife sets up camp.
Oh man, I can just feel my wife's stare burning me down as I typed that, and she is still at sleep.

I think I may have to delete your response before she can read it!!! Although, it may be too late already; we did just have some major lightning strikes in the area that took out major power lines .... [emoji4]

Yep, sitting in Calgary, pretty much ready to hit the road tomorrow. I am not joining the caravan, kinda leaving that for the bolers.
