Henderson State Park is a bit over an hour away from our house. If you plan on visiting the Naval Air Museum in Pensacola, we would be right on your way.
Other campgrounds that we enjoy in the western Panhandle:
If you like lake or river-front camping you could try one of the campgrounds in the Blackwater River State Forest or the Blackwater River State Park:
http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...est-49132.html
Big Lagoon State Park isn't right on the gulf, but is also a favorite of ours and is just a short drive to the gulf beaches.
If you like the resort type of park you might enjoy Topsail State Park: http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...dle-48444.html
If you're active or retired military or Department of Defense civilian, Blue Angel Park is really impressive: http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...ida-61357.html
Also Gulf State Park is just across the Alabama line and is very popular with beach-lovers.

Ray, There is no doubt that FL is loaded with very good if not great state campgrounds/parks, even many of the county parks are top notch like Fort DeSoto.
Definitely something FL wonderful. We're considering Fort Clinch, a location near some friends.

Norm,
Fort Clinch is a nice campground. There are two sections. The beach is nice if you're seeking sun and sand. It has a brand new restroom, very nice. The section near the fort is older but also nice. The very best site in the older section is site 40, steady breeze off the river helps to keep the gnats on the run. 39 is also good.
The town of Fernandina Beach is very nice.

Hi all, just a friendly reminder to not use the 'For Sale' listing for chat. No harm done, but most of the community does not come in to these listings, and is missing out on some of the good camping information you are sharing in here. If we could keep the dialogue focused on the trailer sale, and share your campground suggestions with the entire community in another thread, it would be great. Thanks so much.

Very good. At the present we aren't advertising it anywhere except for right here.
If it doesn't sell to someone at this site we will start with Craigslist, etc. sometime after the new year starts.

Do a search on them in this forum. They are the highest regarded small trailer tires you can get.

We've only camped in it 62 nights so far, so I guess it still has a bit of the new camper smell, even though it's now over four years old. My wife is very scent sensitive and we were concerned about the off gassing when we first bought it, but it hasn't been a problem. When we open the door after it's been sitting for a while we get the smell, but once we start using it on a trip it's never been noticeable.

The bed platform is 54" by 87" long. The mattress is 54" wide and a little over six feet long.

For what it's worth, our EggCamper still had the factory mattress when we bought it third-hand, and it was 53" x 74" x 4" foam. We replaced it with a Parklane "Eurotop Innerspring" from Camping World (made in Oregon). Since they had one at the store and it was on sale, we purchased what they call the 3/4 standard size - 49" x 74" x 8" (6" innercoil springs + 2" memory foam" = very nice combination!). Very firm, which suits us fine. Standard-sized bedding fits it well. A body pillow fills the extra gap nicely.
