SOLD Bigfoot 1981 Trailer $7500 OBO

This Bigfoot was brought to Vancouver Island, British Columbia were I spent months restoring it to a very nice looking and functional trailer. It pulls well, even with my 4 cylinder Nissan truck and weights about 2700 lbs on the road. It does not require an equalizer as there is no sway when towing.

A lot of work has gone into this project, mainly upgrading the interior which now is a lot brighter.

Some pics show before and after renovations. The exterior paint and decals are original.

3 coats Bullseye 123 primer and 3 coats exterior latex acrylic high grade paint in the interior
All 6 windows were removed, new screens put in and butyl taped before reinstalling the windows, and caulking put over the frames
New PD 4045 converter installed
New Dometic 3 way fridge installed
30 amp service and cord
2 new 110 receptacles added
2 new 12 v receptacles added
New tires
7 LED lights installed
Replaced dry rot panels around windows with birch plywood
New roof vents
New exterior door knob
New propane tanks and regulator and hoses
4 Burner stove
Oven just like new
Shower, basin & toilet in like new condition
New horizontal blinds
New cupboard fronts with door stops
Masonite removed from cupboard bottoms and replace with birch plywood and primed & painted
New exterior marker lights
New exterior light at door with switch in interior
Truck bed coating on roof
Propane detector installed
Smoke alarm installed
New Group 29 battery installed
New bearings and packed this summer.
Just applied 3 coats of gel coat on the roof and also Flex Coat.

I am not using this trailer and it needs a good home.

2700 lbs on the road, pulled by a 4 cylinder Nissan Pick Up

There is one item I would like to mention:

1) The furnace only blows cold air

Asking $7500 OBO

I am sure the next owner will be proud to show off this Bigfoot and have lots of great camping experiences.

I love it, especially the kitchen area. No photos of bathroom though?

Bigfoot 17 Foot 1981 Trailer

There is no wiring in place for a fantastic fan, although you could run it from the nearby 1141 light fixture or snake it through one of the other lights.
In regards to photo of the bathroom, it is so small, I am able to shower, shave and you know what else at the same time, so hard to actually take a photo, but could do...It is great shape and just added a new shower hose to it....Jim

Interested!

Hi -- I'm interested in your Bigfoot. You've done a gorgeous job with it! We're down in Portland, OR -- looking to take a long holiday weekend tomorrow through Monday and would consider coming up to take a look. We're new to the trailer world -- when you say 2700 pounds on the road, is that including full tanks, so it's the total weight? Can you tell me if there are any issues? Is there a way we could chat about it a bit? Thanks!

Beautiful, I've looked at a lot of photos of renovated Bigfoots and your's is one of the nicest I've even seen Jim. I'm sure it's hard to part with but I'm also sure it will find a good home.

I will not be available to show it to you until Sunday after 2 pm or after 8 pm on Friday or Saturday. Your signature would not allow me to send you a e mail..
The weight is 2700 lbs fully loaded, but without full H20 tank.
The only thing that I can tell you is that the heater does not blow hot air. I usually dry camp with it without hookups but have only had it out a few times this year, and about the same last year, so that is the reason I am selling.

Sold to a very happy State Side couple who will be taking Ms. Bigfoot on her new journeys. I am sad to see her leave but seeing that Ms. Bigfoot was not being used, decided to let someone else take care of her. I wish the new couple lots of exciting times in this rig which I enjoyed so much in restoring. Best of luck, Ms. Bigfoot and do take care of this couple as well. Jim
