Our children decided not to buy Li'l Jenny, so we are offering her here to forum members before we put her out on ebay. It is a 1978 13'
Burro that we fixed up last summer. It has
air conditioning put in last summer (hidden by a modified cooler that you see in the picture of the back of the trailer that will come with it), the new curtains I put up, new LED
tail lights, new-last-summer portapotty, new crank jacks for the tongue, new tongue hitch, new handpump on the sink, and the
microwave that we bought for her. The front has been modified to include swivel chair tops and a dinette, although we still have the original cushions if you wish to take it back to the sofa. The bunkbed structure did not come with the
Burro but could be fabricated.
The back bottom dinette cushions have been re-covered. I did not get the upper cushions completed but will include the preshrunk material that matches the bottoms.
Li'l Jenny was taken out 4 times last summer after we fixed her up. We went to Wisconsin one weekend to test her, took her out to Yellowstone for two weeks, took her to Lanesboro, and took her to a VW show in southern WI where we won our entry based more upon the fixes we did to the trailer than our 2003 Eurovan that was pulling the trailer.
We will include the fixings for a shower that we created, with curtains that drape across the center of the trailer, a shower sprayer, and the plastic tub we purchased to catch the water.
The
propane tank was new last summer and works well with the cooking burners. The
refrigerator is a dorm-style electric. Everything is set up to use 110-120 rather than 12 volt. No
battery is installed. The on-board water tank works fine with the hand-pump faucet on the sink. The towing
electrical hook-up is a standard 4 pin that matches most setups. This trailer does not have any
brakes, but tows like a dream. It also has
tires that were new last summer and a workable spare on the back. It has a clear Illinois
title and currently registered.
So, just in time for camping season, if you buy Li'l Jenny, you should be able to throw in towels, dishes, cleaning supplies, and food, and just hook her up and go.
Email me or Kevin A if you are interested. We are asking $3500 for the trailer. Due to our work schedules, you will need to come pick the trailer up in Oak Park, IL. We will accept payment through PayPal or by a cashier's/certified check. We will expect payment to be made before the trailer can be picked up just to protect us. We will wait a week before posting the
Burro on ebay.
Thanks and happy looking! And we do have more pictures if you want them.
