I'm of the opinion that the bad guys would have to be masochists to read this forum in order to harvest phone numbers and email.
Besides, they have graduated to random dialing and can even trick your call display into revealing whatever number they want. I got one yesterday from my own phone number.

Actually they use robots to harvest emails and phone numbers.. no one actually sits down and reads the forums to get them. So it is a good idea to mask them, or better yet use PM. It will cut down on the scam attempts you have to deal with. And you're rite that caller ID is about useless now, I get calls "from myself" regularly. The scams and fake emails are so good now that even the most intelligent people (like myself ) are sometimes fooled. Buyer beware in all things.
