Can't you persuade your employer to fly you to Illinois? There must be some event coming up in Chi-town. On second thought, the red truck is probably not four-wheel or all-wheel drive. Then again, you are used to tire chains and two-wheel drive vehicles usually get better mileage. What more could you ask?
Air conditioning for the summer heat? You possibly could even do like some of my neighbors, park the good mileage car at the bottom of the mountain during the night, then swap it for the truck. Reverse the process the next morning. Saves gas during the day and gives better traction in the snow at night.
