I just rec's a site (Ft.Langley Meet) update from Craig, those of you who are on his email list will get the same 'note' I'm sure. ....but for those coming OR PLANNING to come, here's a l'il update on sites available. His latest email says THREE SITES available, but IF you check the appended campground map, you'll soon see that there are in fact only TWO, count'em TWO sites available. MIKE: I HOPE YOU SEE/READ this and act on it ASAP IF you are coming. I think Craig MAY have started a cancellation list too.
Secondly, ...any locals up here that do not frequent the Ft.Langley area OR use the l'il free ferry across the Fraser river, (YES dang it, BOTH WAYS,LOL) may be blissfully unaware that the area on both sides of Brae Island, where the park is and the Island itself has been inundated with a huge 'skeeter infestation. Hopefully they will have been chased away with the aid of a good spray job. In the past when there's been an issue with 'skeeters in the park, management (Stan) has alotted campers a 'grace period', a certain amount of time to check out their site (or the park) to check for themselves just how bad, if at all, the 'skeeters REALLY are. If in that time you decide (and everyones bug tollerances vary....) the situation is too much for you, the park will re-emburse you you money for the site and you'll be free to move on to a different place to camp ...another park!?!?!
....and THIRDLY, so as NOT to upset Carol (again, LOL) She has again graciously offered to set up another POT LUCK supper, IF you decide to partaee with the mob(s) please bring a 'dish' of some sort )besides your wife/girlfriends that is...), not just a sack o tatter chips PLEASE. Salads are good but platters of cold cuts, meats cheeses, fruit platters and or even crock pots of chili, meatballs, of even platters of RIBS (YUM). MAYBE we could encourage Carol (not that she needs ANY encouragement, LOL) to either set up a list of foods she has coming from various people(s)?? or chime in here with some tips on what she might like to see inthe way of FOOD??
