Almost forgot: Cello

I could forget as I haven't been playing much this year due to other commitments, but I play the cello and have for years; I'm still very much an amateur, though, no great cellist here. I like it and have played in university and community orchestras and done a lot of playing at church.

Any other musicians?

Retired music teacher here. Over the years in elementary school, high school and college. Keyboard: piano, organ, and theory, harmony, etc. For the past 35 years a maker of musical instruments also: harpsichords and virginals mostly, with a smattering of clavichords and a lone vielle. Other hobbies are woodworking and photography (currently scanning, organizing, and repairing 125 years of family pictures for our offspring.) Oh, I almost forgot: camping.

Ann here: Violinist. I love to play in small groups, community orchestras, quartets, etc. Baroque and fiddle! A cello, what fun. I used to teach, violin, piano, cello. I have not played for several years and miss the camaraderie and my beautiful violin, who is living in the closet, greatly.

It would be challenging to find a space for a cello in our little Ventura. I must have known somehow that space would be important to me later in life as my instrument of choice is a piccolo! It tucks happily into the camper and doesn't significantly add to the weight we are towing.

Folks were boarding a jet and they had too many carry-ons. So they started tagging some of the bags for stowing in the belly. Then a guy gets on the plane with a cello, and they remove 2 more carry-ons to make room for the instrument. When people complained, the stewardess explained:

"There's always room for Cello."
