OK, I'll try uploading 4 photos and see if they come out crazy.

I take the photos, upload to google photos, and then since they are in Apple's .HEIC format, I have to do something to them to get them to .jpg format, so I crop a tiny amount off one edge. Then I download them and upload to FGRF.

And they always come out rightside-up for me.

I have no idea what others are doing, but it seems that FGRV does accept any orientation photos from an iPhone if you do what I do.
