I can understand your concern but I would think that as small as the molded trailer market is that any of the builders would love having a representation of their trailers out there. They should think of it as a little free advertising . YMMV but if I was making these when folks ask for one I wouldn't give it another thought.

I think you're smart. While you may be able to use the shape of the trailer without checking, the manufacturers name needs to be taken into consideration. They may want to see your work and know it will be used in a good light. I'm always surprised U-Haul lets their decals be sold. I can just see someone putting those on some dumpy old truck or trailer!

When I was working on my graduate degree, I had a 10-week class just on copyright law. It's interesting but very, very involved.

Here's an easy to read, easy to understand publication from the United States Copyright Office.

Best of luck!

Thanks for the input. I had considered sending a couple of the pictures to each Scamp and Escape and see what they think. I started this by making a Casita pic for my sales rep and when I went back in, it was displayed by the bosses office. He knew I intended to sell them if there was any interest.

Norma G, I ran into an interesting situation at a rally. I had done the Scamp 5th wheel with red detailing. There were 4 or 5 of them there and all had the gold detailing. I was schooled rather quickly on the difference in the red and gold and there status in the world of Scamp. There were also 3 different styles of windows, two of which were on the exact same year and model.

Sooooo, since I haven't done a 16 yet, if you would send me a couple of pics of your Scamp I'd appreciate it. Full-on door side taking up most of the frame, end to end of the trailer. Also one at a slight angle from the front. Those make nice pictures.

Thanks

I will see if I have any that will work...otherwise it will be after she comes out of storage in the spring. More later.

Machine Embroidery

I have been doing Machine embroidery for a long time but I do not digitize, my husband does a bit but not complicated stuff. I have found several very nice Casita type designs on Embroidery Library as well as more generic types, take a look to see if they have what you want.

Thanks. I have literally thousands of emb library designs, including most all of the camping related designs. I just wanted a detailed actual Casita design. Besides, who doesn't like a good challenge?
