Yes, film is becoming quite a rarity these days. This was shot over Thanksgiving weekend, using "old school" HDR ... proper metering.
George, you might as well give up on a digital back for your Hassy, they're just too pricey and the full frame DSLR cameras can do just as well a job.
I'm glad you liked the image. Thanks.

My dear son bought me a new Nikon D5100 kit for Christmas. I was floored! Had to go out and snap some pictures with it right away, and the kids wanted to go play on the playground behind our house anyhow. So here is my granddaughter, Sophia, in mid-swing. Not high quality, but I liked her smile.

I have spent several hours looking at the photos in the thread and I have to say there are some breathtakingly beautiful photographs here. For those who missed my introduction thread, I have been a pro photographer off and on for the last 25 years. I returned to college to finish the degree I neglected in my youth and am now a 56-year-old junior majoring in photo communications. Here are a few samples of what I have done over the years.

Crashing wave is alive, love it. Where was it taken? I never turned pro but love photography since childhood. At the age of 12 I built a horizontal enlarger, yes, this was last century.

I took the Crashing Wave photo at Pt. Lobos St. Park in California. The rock in the photo is about 50 feet tall and the waves were making it disappear. I was standing on a cliff top about 75 feet above the ocean and getting sprayed from waves below me.
And I remember darkrooms as well. Never had a horizontal enlarger, but I did have a Beseler MX5 with a cold light head. Best enlarger I have ever used.

Thank you, but keep in mind I am a 56-year-old junior with 25 years photograph experience. Not exactly a rookie.

Winter Camping in Washington State
My wife and I took advantage of a beautiful winter day to go camping last week at Bay View State Park, with side trips to Coupeville and Langley on Whidbey Island, and to Anacortes, on Fidalgo Island. We found a few signs of spring, no problem in finding a place to camp, many nice fabric stores (for my wife) and photogenic spots (for me).

I love vultures! Nice flight shot.
I did a day trip to Assateague yesterday and managed to catch a sunset pony parade across some shallow water in the bay as they headed off to graze one of the little islands.
