I bet he was cautious. I like the model effect the lens baby has. The best shots I've seen are from high rises looking down at traffic.

I am amazed at the quality of the Hassey. I guess I should have mentioned I used to own one and it was working with drum scans that convinced me to sell my EOS gear and go back to medium format film for my serious work.

Here's a photo I took on my earlier Hasselblad. Shot on Fuji slide dilm, drum scanned and converted to B&W in Lightroom, prepped for display in PhotoShop.

I did not touch medium format for about 15 years. At some point I will get into a serious project of digitizing my old negatives. I tried using HP Scanjet G4050 but was not very successful. Your photo from the Wawona tunnel brought many memories; we spent many weekends in Yosemite before you had to make reservations.
This year I bought Olympus OMD and believe it is the best travel camera I have ever had so Hasselblad will continue to collect dust.

Don't feel too bad - I have a 500C Kit, complete with 4 lenses that I haven't pulled out of the closet in years. I just can't get rid of it, but have to admit my Nikon D700 has lured me away from medium format. Now, it I could afford a digital back for the 500 that might change my mind!

I've been up to the attic. Threw out a whole bunch of negatives, knowing that I will never look at them again, and neither will anybody else.
Been six months since I retired and I haven't shot a single picture worth keeping. Most times I have no camera with me.
But, I do get some pleasure from looking at my battered Leica M4, up on the bookshelf.

We just returned from three nights camping at Bayview State Park, WA and made trips to Port Townsend and Whidbey Island -- we never tire of visiting these places -- there is so much to see!

Thanks, Diane. We had been watching the weather forecasts and waiting for a few days of decent weather to go camping, and were rewarded for the effort. There is a lot to see at all times of the year!

Wow, some really wonderful photography in this forum! By the way, we're fairly new here, and working on a 1978 Boler restoration, here.

Photography has been a passion of mine for some 25 years, including publishing and doing art shows with my wife. I started with 35mm film, later transitioned to using a Pentax 67 medium-format (and I still miss that camera), and for a little over three years have used various DSLR outfits, finally settling on Nikon. It was a frosty morning today so we grabbed our cameras and took off for an hour or so. The shots I took of the frost weren't very exciting but........then we spotted three coyotes on the river. I guess they were too far away really for a top quality shot, even with the 50-500 Sigma, but I took several images anyway This is wildly cropped too!
