I have collected old radios for about 22 years. It started when I was working at a TV repair shop in St Paul MN (on Hamline & Thomas) in 1985-87 called Bruce Davern TV. I didn't repair much then. A lady in her 90's brought in a cathedral Philco radio. My boss asked me if I wanted to try fixing it. I replaced a tube & cleaned the volume control & it worked! When the woman came to pick it up I think she saw how happy I was that I repaired it so.. she gave it to me. And that's how I started collecting. (My wife calls it hoarding). I also like old jukeboxes, pop machines, signs etc.

There may be a thin line between hoarding and collecting! I would like to have some prettier old radios--I've got 'em going back to a 1920s Atwater-Kent TRF, but I could really go for a round-dial Zenith like you show in your picture. I think eventually I'm going to have to pare down and get rid of the junkier radios and just keep the ones that look nice. Ones that work? That's a much smaller number!
In the meantime, here's what I came up with when it was time to replace our mailbox:
