Your all time favorite vehicle???
Well we are into the cold winter months and not lucky enough to be down south so thought I would get something going here that would interest most of us.
I have owned about 30 vehicles over my lifetime and was thinking what if?
What if I could have any one of them back again which one would it be?
After a bit of thought mine would have to be this 1970 AMX. I owned it from 1971 to 1973 and had so much fun with this car. It ran H/PS at Toronto Dragway Park and was never beaten in about a dozen runs there. Best time was 14:32 @ 100MPH with street tires. No doubt with sticky rear tires high 13's would be in range. It had a 360ci V8 with a close ratio 4 speed, factory Hurst shifter, posi rear end with factory trac bars.
This pic was taken in 1973 just before I sold it. I'm interested in hearing about your favorite all time vehicle!

Real tough question! There's two I would like back that I owned in the 60's, a '34 Ford sedan and a '55 Ford 2 door. My other favorite is a '69 Bronco I bought new and still own but needs restoration. It's the last new car I bought.

Easy. I was 16 and it was my first car. 1967 Ford Galaxy 500. That car took me and my first serious girlfriend on many an adventure. Almost 40 years later and that girl proved more reliable than the car. It's long gone but she is still by my side!

I'm another AMC fan. My first car was a 10 year old completely worn out '69 Rambler 2 door sedan. My favorite car was my '80 Eagle, closely followed by my '77 Pacer!

well there are a few but the car that really turned my head as a young man was the Volvo P1800ES wagon, that back hatch was what sealed it for me!

Our 2004 Honda CRV, our tow and toad vehicle, reliably taking us to the wonders of all Canadian provinces and all USA states for 10 years, requiring nothing but oil changes, brake pads, and tires.

1956 Triumph TR3. Got me through high school in style. Of course, it was English, so I had to keep the tool box close. Next favorite would have been my '65 Chevy Impala Wagon-396. Lots of power and room for the then then growing family. It made lots of trips back and forth between Utah and California.

Dang Sid, we have the same story, serious girl and all. Mine was a 1961 Falcon wagon, 6 cyl and 3 on the tree, sorry guys, it wasn't a hot rod. But it took me all over the US. The next one would be a 1967 Barracuda, should have kept that one and a couple others out of the 90 or so cars I've had. BTW, that serious girl...we're still together too .
Good starter post Wayne.

1967 Ford Mustang Fastback.... BIG BLOCK. Wait, I still have one in the garage And a 1967 289. Can't help it, I'm a Ford gal. Currently own four. Dang, needed that 5.0TA, otherwise I'd be trying to figure out how to tow an oldy, but goody bumper pull with a 1953 Ford F-100 Panel! And you wonder why I still have the Scamp...
Oh and I have a 1952 MGTD in the garage....

That's a tough one, but it's a 3 way tie from my garage... Not necessarily in order:
When I was 15 I built up a 1953 Studebaker Commander 2dr Hardtop with a 57 Pontiac engine, Cad/LaSalle box etc, Next, as a high school Sr. was a 40 Ford coupe with a 283 Chev and, during Navy time, I built up a 32 Ford coupe with a flathead that kept eating transmissions. Great cars? Nope, but the best memories of my life were in them. And then there was the 1954 Corvette, but that was after I got married..... And all of that was 50+ years ago.....

Just for you Donna, this has been in the neighbors garage for 12 years now, finally going back together and its a 289. It fired up on 10 year old gas and ran fine. Its probably going to be for sale next year! We drove it into my garage as he was having a garage sale, tried to tell him possession was 9/10 of the law but he took it back.

David, I need thumbs up .. oh wait here's one!
I drug my old Ford Panel out of the garage (after 18 years), my buds pulled the fuel line and stuffed it in a fresh gas can.. hooked up a new battery and that sucker fired up! Something about those Ford motors

Donna, have you ever given any thought of a resto mod on the panel ? That would look cool in front of the Scamp.

Dave, it's one of the reasons I've hung on to the Scamp. I keep throwing money at the panel and have been PROMISED I'll get it back this spring from the body shop. I just want to take the combo (53-Scamp) out one time.. then I'll be happy to sell the Scamp. Visually, from a hot rodders perspective, it's a perfect combo.

My last farm truck before I had to retire, a 1992 Ford F-150, extended cab, long bed. Had to sell her because I could no longer shift her gears, and need A/C now.
I still miss her....
Now I drive a Grand Caravan with all the seats out.

Well Donna you've both worlds covered. One combo for hot rod gatherings and another for rallys. Keep them all.... there're better than money in stocks

Just my 2 cents worth. Best car was my Porsche 911S Targa, then the Porsche 912 and finally a Sunbeam Alpine. Donna, that TD is just taking up valuable space. It needs to relocate to Washington!

How did I forget we had a Sunlit Gold San Jose made '67 289 Mustang for a couple of years? I never remember to put that on my lists. Would love to see your MGTD!

My first car which was a 1970 Ford Maverick. It was black with white double racing stripes down the hood and trunk. Aluminum mag wheels. Came with a 6cylinder. I replaced with a 302 engine, with duel glass pack exhaust. Seats were red leatherette with black mole skin in the center, front and back. Dash was black felt wrapped. Gear shift knob was an 8 ball. Eight speakers with a power booster and AM/FM cassette. It had a musical horn that played 76 different tunes. Also had an Ahooga horn. And of coarse black/white fuzzy dice with feathers hanging from the rearview mirror. Drove it through high school and two years of college. LOL
