We are proud to announce the arrival of our new baby Mellow Yellow a 1975 Surfside fiberglass camper weighing approximately 1500 pounds and measuring 14 feet in length. Mellow Yellow was born (manufactured) right here in our home city of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Proud parents, Don and Dawn

Thanks Ron. Those people in N.S. have the identical camper to ours? They must be twins!

Thanks. We love our unit. The kitchen at the hitch end is such a convenience. Thus the bed makes into a king size. Camping in style now! No more tent trailer. Just need to find an awning...have the railing. Some people get their awnings made by the looks of things.

Mellow Yellow T14 Surfside

Just abit of background. An elderly couple owned this camper for years; then a family for a year (but they never used it so sold it to us a week ago). We are curious to know how much of our Mellow Yellow's interior is factory original. We bought one of those magnetic screens for the doorway (as seen on TV) for $15.95 but haven't installed it yet. Has anyone else tried this and if so was/is it practical/successful? Also, we are in search of an awning. We'll be taking our inaugural trip at the end of July. Going to Riding Mountain National Park. So excited!!! Don and Dawn from Winnipeg

Hi Don and Dawn, to FiberglassRV, we're glad you're here!

I think the yellow Surfsides are neato. I really like yellow, reminds me of the sun and that makes me happy

Welcome to the group Don and Dawn! I'm not familiar with the Surfsides, but this interior looks to be in great condition! You can look at the surfsides in our gallery: Surfside - Images

Mellow Yellow's Inaugural Voyage

Just back from a week in gorgeous Duck Mountain Provincial Park here in Manitoba. As for Mellow Yellow...what can we say? On the average, we slept 10 to 11 hours! How mellow is that?! Don & Dawn
