Hi community
I wanted to show everyone the 1979
scamp i have been working on during the winter months.
I redid all the kitchen with surplus material i had from a house makeover i just finished.
The cabinets faces and countertops are repurpused rosewood hardwood flooring glued together planed and reinforced.
The backsplash is extra backsplash tile each tile glue in with polyurethane construction adhesive
The sink bowl is a extra bathroom vessel sink recessed into the countertop and the faucet and the pop up drain are new rubbed bronze . I used a outdoor barbecue insert for the stove
I picked up our
scamp from a awesome French cabinet maker in Annapolis MD. He had it in a garage at his workshop as a pet project for 15 years he said he never used it. It had new
axle,
tires ,trailer wiring, cushions, I was really lucky and it was only 1600 dollars and a two hour drive.
Needless to say I had been looking for a
scamp type or aliner trailer for several months.
When I saw the add I called confirmed a appointment and got in my car for the two hour drive
The previous owner could not have been more help i was unprepared he zipped me down to Lowes and we picked up everything i needed to get her home. All i showed up with was a hitch attached to my car.
I also added a outside shower right behind the kitchen unit base outside so i could easily hide the plumbing and pump.
She is our weekend beach cabin for the summer.
We have taken it out three weekends now and I couldn't be happier with it
Here is a couple of pics I have taken of it over the last several months
