Inspect the frame and axle. Check for rot in the floor. Get it into your name before you spend a lot of money. The first camping trip should be in your own driveway, see if you can get through the weekend without running into the house. And last before you hit the road, check the tire date codes. A blowout can cause a lot of damage. Pictures?
