Hi,

I originally from the PNW. 15 yr tent camper, 19 years in a Pop Up, and just bought my first NTM 16ft Scamp. I am over the top excited. This is my first weekend owning it and I am going over all the systems. I have a leak coming out of the plastic drainage plug in water heater and am hoping some teflon tape and proper sized socket wrench will fix that. Otherwise, all systems go, which makes me very happy. My friend was gutting her living room and had an IKEA wall shelf that she was getting rid of. I thought I'd put it in my daughter's room, but then had a Eureka moment. I disassembled it and re-assembling it in the weird closet space and it fit perfectly.

Scamp has used a couple of sizes of plugs over the years, what ever you have a six point socket will work best. And yes, I use Teflon tape also.

Welome to the world of Fiberglass Trailers

Hope you enjoy your new trailer. We have a 16 ft Scamp that is heavily modified. We weighed it at the Fiberglass Trailer get together at Bandon Dunes and it turned out to be one of the heaviest 16 ft Scamps also. Probably my wife's pots and pans. Glad to discuss any ideas or questions you have on your Scamp.

Scamp gave a shipping weight on my 16’ as 1,750, at the scale it was really 2,360. Last time I had it on the Scale it was at 3,060 lbs (with mods) ready for the road but with out food. I know there in another heavier in the group.
