These horsepower and torque ratings are maximums measured at full turbo boost. I, personally, would not want to be what I consider over stressing these tiny motors towing anything over hill and dale. O.P. did not say if this has a manual transmission or a slip box. I would especially offer concern if this Wrangler has an automatic transmission. I am not saying that this vehicle would fail to tow. I am just saying I think it is a poor choice for towing and suggesting that towing could seriously effect the life of this vehicle.
Probably a good engine choice for a Wrangler not being asked to tow.
