Welcome David,

FYI there does not seem to have been a plant in Whichita, only an office. There is a lot of history in this thread.

Sorry, I don't have the time to get into that tonight. That is a few hour discussion over the phone or in person. Why don't you scoot up to bolerama on the N shore of Lake Erie next weekend and check out a lot of the trailers and people here? I could sit down and bend your ears for a few hours on the boler American.

If you were able to tow it away you got a bargain! Congrats! And yes, I'd also love to see pics.

How much Ensolite do you need David?
There are a lot of spots you can take a graft from to do "patches".

some pics of $250 boler and name plates

Here r some pics of my boler which I bought about 5 years ago for $250.I have already removed the body sandblasted the frame and reassembled. It was actually in really good shape underneath;however the walls where covered with mold so I totally gutted the ensolite.I'll post some interior pics sometime soon, but there"s not much to see.As you can see the badges say witchita on them I just assumed it was made there serial number is 5086 it"s a 1972. Wow that ensolite is $$$$$$ and what glue works well with fiberglass?,I see alot of you used reflextix and then some type of fabric what kind of adhesives did you use??? You got a good site here I"m sure you"ll see alot of posts from me Regards David

Too bad you did not find this forum before you ripped out the ensolite. Mine was very moldy and falling down all over the place. You should see what it looks like now.

I"m actually glad I ripped the ensolite out. Mold had actually gotten behind it(it was falling off in places) even after the ensolite was ripped down I still had to kill the mold on the fiberglass some kind of freak mold I guess,I just couldn't deal with it with my allergy's and it smelled really bad inside. I don't mind putting money into it,it seems to be a good investment and it's unique and cool

Concrobium for the mold.
I saw a van for lawn maintainence covered in artifical turf the other day and thought it might be an interesting option for the inside of our trailers. The new replacement T molding from Trillium RV would facilitate the seams.
