Hello World!
I'm the proud new owner of a rare survivor from the 1970's. It's so rare that there isn't even a category listed under Manufacturers!
Briefly, the Apeco company was originally a photographic equipment manufacturer. The name is an acronym for American Photographic Equipment Co.of Evanston, Illinois. So naturally, they decided to go into the RV trailer business! The trailers were manufactured in White Pidgeon, MI.
They didn't last long, but I believe their design was quite innovative. I'm told that the owner of the company was an avid boater and his idea was to use two
fiberglass boat hulls to form the trailer. That may explain the unusual shape.
This trailer was gifted to me by the original owners, Barb and Wayne. They kept meticulous records and I am very excited to be starting this
renovation process.
Information on these trailers is very hard to come by. If anyone has any ideas or information to share, it will be greatly appreciated. I will be sharing photos of my process as it goes along.
See you on the road, Bronze!
