backing up to introduce myself....

DH and I camped in tents for years. Two sons eventually joined us. As empty nesters we tried a really nice truck camper for about 7 years and then sold it when it didn't hold up as well as we thought it would. Five years have passed and we are getting ready to retire by fall. I have become obsessed with these small eggs as I have no desire to carry my whole house behind me. I want to feel like we are "camping," at least on some level. The new Parkliner looks like a great fit for us, and it is manufactured only 40 minutes from us. I have learned SO much from this site in just a few weeks. Thanks! Now, what is this I occasionally read about "fiberglass smell?"

Welcome, glad you joined us! Have fun finding the perfect trailer for yourselfs, the journey to ownership is fun, frustrating at times, but soooooo worth it..... Keep us posted on what you decide on. Again, Welcome!

Fiberglass Smell? Are you talking about off gasing that can occur? If so, as with anything new (cars, etc) you can have that new smell...... My experience is it goes away after a while.

Hey Susie!

I think you'd enjoy the Parkliner. We've enjoyed ours in the short time we've had it. I can try to answer any other questions you think of. :-)

Hi Susie Welcome to FiberglassRV. I'll leave the odor questions to owners of new trailers... mine is an oldy... but not a moldy and I love it! I'm sure you'll love whatever you decide is the best fit for you too.
