Boler closet

Hello! We are the new owners of a 1974 Boler that we bought in Aug. 2012. of course we will have to do some modifications too. Two previous owners ago, someone removed the closet beside the door. The fellow we purchased from installed two wooden supports to hold up the roof. We would like to reinstall a closet. Does anyone have one from an old wreck, or does anyone know where we could get one? Also are they difficult to install? Great site. We can't wait to use our new little putt putt.

Hi, welcome to FiberglassRV. We're glad you're here! Can't help with the Boler question, but I'm betting some Boler owners will pop in shortly with the suggestions.

BTW: is "M" really your name?

The closet is not difficult to install but as you identified the closet is a structural item. The closet edge next to the doorway is fiberglassed to the outer shell, when you fiberglass this in make sure you support the roof and check the door fit. At this point you can adjust the sag in the body and improve the fit of the door.

The remaining edges of the closet (top and window edge) are pop riveted to the body

Hope this helps and good luck finding a closet.

Hi, My suggestion would be to build one from scratch. That way you can design what you want for the space.

I can certainly call you "M" But, at least now I know your gender

Good luck on the closet, I like the idea of building what you want... maybe one with shelves or drawers or hanging space???
