Complete Newbies - Just got our 75 13 Foot Boler TODAY!!!!

Hi,

We are from Saskatchewan and just took posession of our 1975 13 foot boler today! We are a family of three and are thrilled. It's been a dream of mine since I was 10 to own one....some dreams do come true! I know that's not a biggie in the realm of dreams but still I am so happy. I want our son to know the outdoors a bit, to have camping in his memories instead of "what a great hotel room".

Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated....I don't know how to pack one, how to....ah well, we'll learn as we go.

Hi, Mel/Frank. Welcome to FiberglassRV.com - now that you have your trailer, you can update your profile (User CP) to include RV Type. It's a big help to other members, to be able to glance at your avatar and know where you're coming from, so to speak.

Also, feel free fire away with your questions! There's lots of experience here. It's cool that you want your son to know the outdoors a bit!!

welcome and woohoo! congratulations!!

as for "how to pack one"...you'll find that each and everyone here has their own preferences of what goes where. closets become pantries...pantries become microwave shelves...etc. etc. you are right when you say you'll work it out. trying your first trip close to home will make it easier ---less traumatic if/when you forget something important.
and you are going to have such wonderful memories to share with your son!!!

happy camping.

You'll need everything you probably took tent camping, except the tent! Seriously, ask yourself what do you need? Food, clothing, dishes (etc), sleeping stuff (sheets/blankets or sleeping bags). Don't forget the toothbrush! (and a camera and a journal) etc., etc., etc.

Welcome! One thing to keep in mind is put the heavier items close to the front near the hitch. Don't forget to check out the rally section, there is the Prairie Egg Gathering on July 14-17th at Lea Park Campground just north of Marwayne Alberta. It's not far from Lloydminster.
