Talking First Time Egger...

Hello all! We are the proud new owner of a 1974 Trillium 1300, a lovely avocado green-ish with some resto work and modifications to be done.

This is our first ever trailer and Im hoping it was a smart purchase.

Im towing it with a 2008 Jeep Liberty 3.7 automatic. From the short run I took with it to get it home, I have noticed that it tows like a dream. Dont even know its there most of the time until you look in your mirrors.

If anyone has any suggestions, I am MORE than interested in your feedback.

Best Wishes.

Benissimo

Congratulations!! I'm sure you'll have a blast camping in your new-to-you egg!

I'd love to see some pictures . . . . .

Congrats....got my first, new to me 1975 Trillium 1300. Mine is the same lovely green....thinking about naming her the " Twisted Lime " I think mine is all original, with the funky fabric on the cushions. Enjoy !!!!!!

yay for you! we got our first in march (74 boler) and have had so much fun tinkering with it together. we had hoped it would prove to be a fun project to work on together and it really has been - ours was mostly original and in need of some character and boy was it fun mishmoshing it up. our girl still has a lot more work needed but she is basic camping ready so we're off next weekend (if this goofy westcoast rain lets up!!!).
have fun with the changes you plan to do and of course enjoy the more comfortable camping treks you'll now take!

Nice. We bought a 74 boler in may and pull it with a liberty as well. The only time we noticed the boler was when we were going up long steep hills. I had to gear down a few times, but for the most part it was fine. It really cut the mileage down but I guess that's the price you pay for pulling a trailer. My Boler has had some work done to it, but it still needs done tlc. Its a sweet avocado green on the bottom and white on the top.

Gonna get out this week for a bit of a road trip and camp along the way. Should be fun. I'm hoping that we don't end up with the thunderstorm that they're predicting

Our biggest ordeal right now is what to name our little addition. I thought maybe "Sam I Am" (green eggs and ham, as our egg is green) or "Sprout" (like brussel sprout), the wife thought of "Kermit"..... any suggestions?

Chile Verde. (Last thing I ate was a New Mexico green chile cheesburger, so good!)

Congrats! Enjoy the resto work, it'll really be yours when you're done!
