Got our Scamp

The 26 of Dec I woke up and checked the weather since myself and Janie was planning to leave about 6AM for Backus but I told her to get up now she said its only 3AM I told her about the snow storm forecast for Indiania to hit around 10AM She got up and we hit the road about a 2 hour drive to souther Indiania 5Am we should be ahead of the storm WRONG at the state line it was snowing hard with the wind blowing about 35 MPH we continued and 15 hours later we made about 500 miles to Madison Wisconsin got a little sleep and continued our trip arriving in Backus Minnsota around 2Pm snow all the way. The paperwork wasn't ready and we where 1 day early so we didn't adopt our Scamp till the next day 9 Am a cute little 16 foot layout 4 found the hitch on my Ranger pickup and we headed out back to Somerset, Ky our little egg scamping along behind us it snowed the hold trip but we had no problems even slept in a rest area for about 4 hours with it being 18 degrees outside our furance in the Scamp kept us warm we enjoyed how well the Scamp and Ford Ranger combination work looking for spring to get here and realy enjoy camping (Scampin)

Burrrr, sounds like a cold, cold trip. So glad you got home safely and the trailer/tug combination works well for you. Be sure to post pictures (with big ole grins) when you thaw out enough to take them!

What a great adventure - especially as you are now home safe and sound. You will never forget the day you picked up your Scamp, congratulations!

Congrats on the new camper!! now you can tell everyone about the day your Scamp was born and how you fought through the blinding snowstorm (uphill both ways, of course) to go get her!!

Congrats......got to love those winter adventures....

Glad you got it and got it home safely.

Sounds like your part of the world is having lots of bad weather....here in Utah we have had our coldest Jan. ever and snow just keeps coming, but not like the early 90's.

And now it looks like it will clear up for a bit.
