Greeting from the rock
I have a '78 1300 Trillium on the Mainland that I bought last fall. I hope to pick it up in late April. I will be the second owner. This is our 6th. or 7th. Trillium and hopefully my last. I'm hoping it will last as long as I do. 2007 Tacoma is my tow package so I hope to do okay with that. We've made a lot of memories over the years. Now it's my turn to keep going and make a few new ones on my own.
Still active in Scouting [43 years] but not quite as spry and foolish as I once was. Knots and Survival are my fortes.
Looking forward to catching an event once in a while too.
If anyone needs info on Newfoundland & Labrador..... just let me know.
I should be able to assist.
Glad I found you guys again.
Scouter Dave

Hi Dave, welcome to FiberglassRV. You say you're glad you found us again... were you originally a member under a different screen name? I'm just trying to remember and at my age that gets tougher every day

Labrador and Newfoundland
Welcome Dave and the best with your new rig.
We hope to return to Newfoundland and Labrador in 2013 for a cross Newfoundland and Labrador trip. We just read Latitudes of Melt and hope to get to Cape Race and than onward to Labrador.
You have a wonderful 'rock''

Hi Dave!
Welcome from someone who lives on a rock at the other end of the country. (As you can see from my avatar I live right next to the "mile 0" sign. The western start of the Trans Canada Highway.) So far we don't have any plans to get to NL, but we're bringing the trailer east one of these days so you never know!
Best wishes,
Phil

Welcome, I plan on coming to Newfoundland one of these days it's just so far from BC! I did make it to Nova Scotia a few years ago but ran out of time.
You must really like Trilliums to have had so many, was each one better than the last?

I have been in and out of this site many times but I do not think I ever signed on. At least there is no record of it in my notes. Went back to a Westfalia for a few years but that's sold and it will be Trillium travel from now on. Our last one {1500] is still in the family but gets very little use right now. For me.... "put me on a highway and show me a sign..... and take it to the limit, one more time....." I hope. D.

"Each one better than the rest....."
Not really. Each one unique in its own right with cupboards full of memories All except the one that jumped the guard rail near Amherst NS. I know how to make an omelet!!
Anyone heading this way be sure to make your ferry reservations as soon as you can! Both ways, if you don't want to end up camping in the parking lot at the ferry terminal waiting for a slot. For July and August trips, I book in March if I know my dates.
Marine Atlantic has a website.

If you are coming in May month may I suggest the Trails, Tales & Tunes Festival, Norris Pt. Gros Morne Nat'l Park. This year's fest runs from May 18th. to the 27th. We/I have been involved from festival 1 and will be back this year to work with the kids on Celebrate the Sea day and hopefully read some of my poetry and stories. Good food, fabulous music and stories, hiking, geocaching and Newfoundland hospitality. They have a website, plans are now being finalized for 2012 and the schedule should be up by the month end. Hope to see you there. Just ask for the meanest Scouter in town or the guy who does the knots. D

I look forward to seeing you.
Let me leave it with this.....
I have a spare room [dbl bed], hot showers, laundry($1.00 per), you can park and stay in the parking lot for at least two nights. The bldg is fully WC accessible with automatic doors, elevator, wide halls and grab bars in the bathroom. Unless I have a prior www.couchsurfing.com reservation there will be room.
If I can assist with anyone's travel plans let me know.
